Coincheck customers who had their crypto stolen had no recourse. This is the 2nd incident after Mt. Gox in Japan.
When you have no regulations, you have no recourse. This is the rule of the game when you don't want to have any regulation for private crypto exchange. This won't be the last incident for sure.

ReplyDeleteCoincheck will reimburse 90% of affected customers but it doesn't say when and how.
There is no way Coincheck has the monies to reimburse the affected customers because getting a cut from trading crypto is not so lucrative.
Coincheck customers have suffered more than 10% losses for nothing because of the hack.
