The US consumer sentiment has dropped again and this corroborates the negative retail sales growth.

5-year inflation expectation: 4.6%

1-year inflation expectation: 7.3%

The US economic statistics are all pointing to dour economic outlook because retail sales and consumer sentiment are falling while 5-year and 1-year inflation expectations are rising.  All these will translate into surging inflation and slowing consumer spending.
