Malaysia has given SG a "great" Christmas gift by terminating the SG-KL HSR.

Malaysia has terminated SG-KL HSR by paying a discounted penalty of RM$300m. It was supposed to be RM$500m penalty as stated in the termination clause.

Either SG is incompetent to collect the RM$500m penalty or Malaysia is too brilliant to get a discount from SG. In other words, SG has given RM$200m to Malaysia as a Christmas gift.
