Pfizer's vaccine won't protect you from getting infected but will prevent you from getting hospitalized.

The main goal of the covid vaccination is not to get hospitalized so that the healthcare system won't be overwhelmed and break down.  However, you will still be infected but will only suffer mild or no symptoms which are good enough.

It has become clear that the existing vaccinations are less effective against the B1351 variant and the US pharmaceutical companies are starting to create another new vaccine which they call the covid booster.
