NTUC is buying S$1m worth of Kaohsiung products per year.
Sheng Siong is buying S$500k worth of Kaohsiung products per year.
Prime is also buying S$500k worth of kaohsiung products per year
This is bad news for Malaysian producers because SG will reduce the Malaysian orders by buying more Taiwan products.
How did NTUC get to know Mayor Han?
It was HK Sino Group Chairman Robert Ng Chee-Siong who called the ex-ceo of NTUC to arrange the deal. This showed connection was very important in the business world.
