If you do not trust the Chinese and western media, how do you know that the covid-19 virus is being contained?

Well, we can do a simple analysis of the published statistics to find out.

When we start to see the death toll keeps increasing but the total infected cases keep declining, we will know for certain that covid-19 virus is being contained.  Why is this inverse relationship important?

This is because the infected corpses will be cremated and this will provide no room for further transmission whilst the infected people are getting fewer.  However, we are not seeing this inverse relationship yet.  The current 2 statistics are telling us that the virus outbreak is not being contained yet.
