Let's take the economic pulse of the US again.

The US is having full employment now and the unemployment rate is unlikely to trend lower.

Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index

The Michigan consumer sentiment index is on a downward trajectory because of the rising inflation.

The elevated inflation is starting to affect the US durable goods orders as the index has plunged by the largest margin (-2.2%).  The indexes excluding transportation and non-defense capital goods also decreased by 0.6% and 0.3% respectively.  This shows that the consumers have cut back on their spending after frontloading their purchases in view of the rising inflation.
