The US might be experiencing inflation as high as 10% in the coming months. Why?

If the current oil price spikes to US$200 because of the new Russian oil embargo imposed by the US and UK, it will push up freight and transportation costs which will affect many physical goods.

In the meantime, the recent Russian sanctions had also caused food prices to spike.  Moreover, the mandatory minimum wage hike to US$15/hour from US$7.50/hour which will take effect soon will increase the business costs further.

Last but not least, property rentals are also expected to increase significantly for the new leases and renewals.

In conclusion, the US will be facing significant inflation headwinds in the coming months.
