WHO declares an international emergency over Wuhan virus after we reported the lockdown in Hainan.  Hainan is so far away from Wuhan but it is in lockdown.  This shows that the virus situation is very bad in China.

The situation is very dire in China now.

I've just checked with my China relative from Hainan.  He told me that Hainan island was in lockdown as MRT and shops were mostly closed.

China has not reached the virus peak period yet and the situation will get worse before it gets better.

Japan has detected 3 cases of the new coronavirus without symptoms.

It will be harder to contain the new virus if there is no symptom because normal temperature screening at the customs won't be able to detect sick people.

Today, Friday, January 24 2020, the Baltic Dry Index decreased by 19 points, reaching 557 points.

Baltic Dry Index is compiled by the London-based Baltic Exchange and covers prices for transported cargo such as coal, grain and iron ore. The index is based on a daily survey of agents all over the world. Baltic Dry hit a temporary peak on May 20, 2008, when the index hit 11,793. The lowest level ever reached was on Wednesday the 10th of February 2016, when the index dropped to 290 points.
