No country can object to the China-Pakistan economic project because both countries are consenting parties and this is a transformative economic initiative that will boost the economic developments of these 2 countries.

In the past, the western countries and some Asian countries like Japan and India also objected to the BRI project.  In the end, many countries have applied to join the BRI including Japan which had objected the BRI previously.

The Gwadar port used to be under the control of Singapore but Singapore did nothing to develop the port.  Thereafter, Pakistan kicked Singapore out and gave the port management and development authority to China.

The Gwadar port is of strategic importance because of its location which is the sea lane connecting Gulf and the Arabian Sea.  SG had lost the golden opportunity to control such an important port.
