Singapore covid cases have debunked US vaccines' high efficacy rates.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/covid-19-vaccination-effectiveness-moh-ong-ye-kung-14869342

79% (300) of unvaccinated persons got infected while 21% (78) of vaccinated persons got infected.

How do we assess the true efficacy of a vaccine?

The aforesaid statistics were all exposed to the covid virus and represented the true efficacy of vaccination and the statistics debunked the high efficacy of any US vaccine (about 95%).

We cannot factor in the whole vaccinated population into our assessment against the infected vaccinated cases because this will give us a wrong conclusion since we are uncertain whether the vaccine is effective against the virus or the vaccinated people are not exposed to the virus at all.

Therefore, we can only evaluate those infected cases among vaccinated and unvaccinated people to determine the true efficacy since we are certain that they are all exposed to the virus.

Hopefully, our government will release such statistics continuously so that we can analyze the true efficacy rate of vaccination.

So far the statistics for Pfizer & Moderna mRNA vaccines show that S'pore experience is accurate.

For original Covid variant:
95% efficacy against symptomatic; 90% efficacy against both asymptomatic & symptomatic.

For Indian Covid variant:
Based on UK experience, Pfizer vaccine has 80% efficacy.

So far S'pore current infections, which are mostly Indian variant, shows about 20% vaccinated with Pfizer or Moderna, and about 80% unvaccinated.

For traditional vaccines like Astrazeneca, the UK experience shows 60% efficacy against Indian variant. This should be similar for other traditional vaccines like Sinopharm, Sinovac, CanSino, Sputnik, J&J, etc.

BioNtech Ceo says that its vaccine (Pfizer) is about 70-75% effective against the Indian variant.

We'll know the truth in the future soon as more Singaporeans get vaccinated. Let's see how many fully vaccinated people get infected in the future.

These pharmaceutical companies have a notorious record for making false claims just to sell their drugs.

PHE states that Pfizer is 88% effective against the Indian variant in the latest assessment which is way higher than SG's efficacy.

Let's see how this will pan out in the future because some UK experts are questioning the veracity of the efficacy.
