US core inflation had risen marginally in April 2025.

Core CPI (m-o-m): 0.2%

Core CPI (y-o-y): 2.8%

Although the US has dropped its ridiculously high tariffs, the current tariffs are still higher than previously.  Therefore, the US inflation is still projected to rise further and this makes the FED unwillingly to ease its rates.
