US inflation expectations were toned down because of the 90-day moratorium period.

1-year inflation expectations: 5.1%

5-year inflation expectations: 4.1%

The above inflation expectations were toned down because Trump put the severe tariffs on hold for 90 days.  Thus, the reduction was an anomaly and not an indication that the inflation was going down.
