We've stated previously that cryptocurrencies including BTC have no meaninful purpose in any mainstream payment system because of its fundamentally flawed design.
The cold wallet hack has raised the crypto security issue again because this is not a direct online hack (not attacking the wallet holder directly).
Furthermore, there was a recent incident of a ridiculous processing fee of over US$160K for a ZERO BTC transfer transaction that won't happen in any existing mainstream payment system (non-crypto). The worst part was this BTC transaction was irreversible because the processing fee had been awarded to the processing nodes in the the blockchain network already.
The above erroneous transaction of a ZERO amount transfer with ridiculous processing fee is not acceptable in any merchant or cross border transaction and the crypto payment system won't become a mainstream payment system due to its flawed design. Therefore, only CDBC and Qucurrency are the future mainstream payment systems.
