The US and EU have failed to use Ukraine to grind Russia down and this has just dawned on the stupid Zelensky in which he has realized that he can't continue any further because his soldiers' average age is about 50 now. The entire young working group (20-40years) has been wiped out by the war and this will take at least a few decades to recover because the country is heavily in debts.

Vladimir Putin's long-term plan is to restore Russia's global influence, re-establishing a sphere of dominance over former Soviet states, and weakening Western alliances like NATO and the European Union. Putin will not stop the war after he has conquered Ukraine. In the eyes of the Europe Leaders, Putin must be stopped at all cost even without US support and best be weaken so much by the war in Ukraine that he cannot afford to start another war in Europe.
Putin's long term plan is to protect Russia and he just wants to establish a buffer zone between Russia and Ukraine because of NATO expansion. Please read my previous posts.
