Japan F15 was no match for China SU-30.

A dogfight between China and Japan happened in June between 2 F15 and 2 SU-30.  Japan F15 had to release flares to escape from China SU-30 and fly back to Japan in humiliation.  China SU-30 didn't release any flares during the dogfight.

US rig count - 557

HOUSTON (AP) — The number of rigs exploring for oil and natural gas in the U.S. increased by 4 this week to 557.
A year ago, 775 rigs were active. Depressed energy prices have sharply curtailed oil and gas exploration.
Houston oilfield services company Baker Hughes Inc. said Friday that 441 rigs sought oil and 114 explored for natural gas this week. Two were listed as miscellaneous.
Among major oil- and gas-producing states, North Dakota gained five rigs, Pennsylvania and Texas each was up two and Wyoming added one.
Colorado declined by three rigs and New Mexico lost two.
Alaska, Arkansas, California, Kansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah and West Virginia were unchanged.
The U.S. rig count peaked at 4,530 in 1981. It bottomed out in May at 404.

What does 2016 3rd quarter annualized GDP growth of -4.1% for Singapore mean?

Singapore had released its 3rd quarter annualized GDP growth in 2016 for Singapore which was at -4.1%.  What does this mean?  It means that Singapore GDP has been contracting at an effective rate of  0.9896% per quarter (0.9896^4 = 0.959, 0.959-1 = -4.1%) which is about 1% contraction per quarter on a compounding basis.

If we have a 1% expansion per quarter, it will mean an annualized rate of 4.1% (1.01*1.01*1.01*1.01 = 4.1% or 1.01^4 = 4.1%) on a quarterly compounding basis.  Therefore, annualized rate has a compounding element.  I hope this will clarify your understanding on annualized rate.

New Malacca port at US$10b.

http://www.scmp.com/news/asia/southeast-asia/article/1934839/china-malaysia-tout-new-port-alliance-reduce-customs

China will invest US$10b in the new Malacca port and form port alliance with Malaysia.  This port will be operational in 2025.

Singapore was no match for China in Pakistan.

China and SG crossed swords in Pakistan and lost the port contract to China in the end.  SG had no real intention to manage Pakistan port as it would diminish SG port handling capacity since the port was located strategically in the Gulf.

http://www.dawn.com/news/786992

http://www.straitstimes.com/asia/pakistan-hands-port-operation-from-singapores-psa-to-chinese

SG was just hogging the Port and leaving it to dilapidate without any investment after getting the contract.  Subsequently, Pakistan ran out of patience and barred PSA.

World busiest port ranking in 2015

SG port was operating at 85% of Shanghai port in 2015

World busiest port ranking in 2014

SG port handling capacity had dropped from 33.87m TEU in 2014 to 30.9m TEU in 2015 which amounted to 9% decline.

We need to monitor our port handling capacity so that we will know the health of our economy.

Malaysia to impose 20ringgit road charge for SG cars on 1 Nov 2016.

http://news.asiaone.com/news/malaysia/malaysia-collect-rm20-road-charge-foreign-vehicles-entering-johor-nov-1

This is not a simple road charge but a punitive imposition by Malaysia.  There's more to it than just a simple road charge.

Malaysia will not be accommodative to Singapore anymore as it has China support to skin Singapore alive.  There will be harsher treatments from Malaysia in the future as it gets cozy with China.  Malaysia is happy to make Singapore collapse as it has been jealous of Singapore success for too long.

Malaysia PM and businessmen will be visiting China to meet Premier Li from 31 October to 7 November to get China investments to displace and replace the incomes earned from Singapore.  Who knows what else will be discussed on and under the table?

https://asia.liveuamap.com/en/2016/27-october-malaysian-pm-najibrazak-to-visit-china-from-oct

Like I said in my previous posts, China will have to annihilate Singapore economically to gain control of Asean and Malaysia is the best pawn to use against Singapore.  Malaysia will gain economic benefits from this economic warfare by containing SG.  This is the price SG has to pay for USA aggression in Asia.  China is just trying to make SG feel what China is feeling when USA tries to contain China in Asia.

Why is 9 so important to the Chinese?

The Chinese emperor is associated with 9 and the forbidden city has 9999 rooms in total.  If a person lives in every room since birth, he will be 27 (9999/365).

2+7=9

Therefore, the forbidden city has a secret number 9 which is an amazing connection.

Bleak outlook for SG

https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/singapore-mall-vacancies-jump-highest-022949258.html

This will be a protracted slowdown.  The worst is not over yet because the worst has not come.  We will suffer badly when Malacca port starts to operate.

Why is 7 an important number in Egypt? Why are there 7 days in a week?

7 is an important and significant number in Egypt because 7 is found everywhere in the pyramid.

1/7 = 0.142857
Look at the digits 142857

1 * 142857 = 142857
2 * 142857 = 285714 ===> the same numbers are rotated
3 * 142857 = 428571 ===> the same numbers are rotated
4 * 142857 = 571428 ===> the same numbers are rotated
5 * 142857 = 714285 ===> the same numbers are rotated
6 * 142857 = 857142 ===> the same numbers are rotated
7 * 142857 = 999999 ===> the rotation stops at 7 and the numbers 999999 appears.

How is 142857 related to 9?

1+4+2+8+5+7 = 27, 2+7 = 9

Let's break up 142857
14+28+27 = 99, 9+9 = 18, 1+8 = 9
142+857 = 999, 9+9+9=27, 2+7=9

Do you see the amazing connection now?

142857 stops or ends the rotation on 7 which also means that 7 is the end of everything for ancient Egypt.
